Nashoba Brooks At-A-Glance
The 20-acre campus includes large athletic fields, a variety of playgrounds, woods with nature trails, and a pond, an apt "green" setting for the friendly arrangement of buildings that open onto balconies, gardens or meadows. Two gyms, two science centers, a dining-meeting commons, and a dedicated arts building with studios and stage are examples of new or renovated spaces.

Accreditations include National Association of Independent Schools; Association of Independent Schools in New England; Member, and National Coalition of Girls' Schools.
Student structure is a unique combination of co-ed classes for younger students (Age 3-Grade 3) and single-gender classes for older girls (Grades 4-8), supported by educational research on gender and social/academic development.

Campus highlights include two gyms, one of which is regulation-sized; two science centers; three technology labs; a dining-meeting commons; and a dedicated arts building with studios for the visual arts, music labs, and an auditorium with performance stage.
The faculty consists of 55 full-time and part-time teachers, approximately 74 percent of whom have at least one advanced degree. The team structure emphasizes an integrated curriculum and requires a mastery of subject.
Creative Arts, with a building dedicated to classes in art, music, and drama, often integrate with other curricular areas. In addition there are offerings such as the Nashoba Notes Chorus and the Instrumental Ensemble.
Interscholastic Athletics for upper grades girls has a participation rate of over 90 percent. Offerings include field hockey, soccer, cross-country, basketball, squash, lacrosse, softball, tennis, and track & field.
Technology includes over 215 computers school-wide. Most classrooms have at least one computer available for student use, while several upper grades classrooms have mini labs. There are three computer labs; the library has 11 PCs and five iMacs. Computer specialists integrate computer use with a particular project or unit of study, and innovative tools such as the Smartboards in many classrooms offer even more opportunities for collaborative projects.
Service Learning at Nashoba Brooks School — reaching out — is an integral part of the program at every level. Classroom teachers provide service opportunities integrated into their curriculum. School-wide opportunities include the fall Country Fair and Crop Walk for the Hungry. Third graders set up and oversee the school-wide recycling program. Upper grades students volunteer as BookPals reading buddies, mentors at House of Hope shelter in Lowell, and gardeners at Gaining Ground.
The operating budget is $7.8 million, and the school's endowment is $6.6 million.
The Nashoba Brooks Annual Fund accounts for 8 percent of the operating budget. The fund raises about $600,000 annually. Last year, 100 percent of the Board of Trustees, over 90 percent of parents, and over 90 percent of the faculty/staff contributed to the fund.
Presently 13 percent of students receive some form of financial aid awarded by the school. Approximately $500,000 in need-based financial aid is awarded yearly.

The school serves a wide geographical area, over 35 towns, including southern New Hampshire to the north, Wellesley/Natick to the south, Harvard/Groton to the west, and Cambridge to the east.
