A Winning Program
“The fact that our program is supported by the mission of the school makes us special. The fact that Nashoba Brooks is a coed school through grade three and a girls’ school in grades four through eight makes us unique. In acknowledgement of our challenging and developmentally appropriate instruction, Nashoba Brooks received the MAHPERD 2004 Middle School Physical Education Program of the Year Award.”
–Suzanne Nelson, Chair, Physical Education Department
All Nashoba Brooks students participate in a quality physical education program. In addition, students in grade one through grade three may participate in a weekly “Fun and Fitness” program that focuses on cooperative activities and games. A weekly intramural program, offered to fourth and fifth graders, provides a bridge between the learning of skills and tactics in physical education and in athletics. An interscholastic athletic program for grades six through eight, which meets four days per week, offers a wide array of sports choices. (See Interscholastic Sports.)
